Die Whisky-Destillerie befindet sich in Blackford, Perth und Kinross, in der N\u00e4he der Ochil Hills und des Danny Burn, ihren Hauptwasserquellen. Lange Geschichte&#8230; Im Jahr 1798 er\u00f6ffneten William &amp; Henry Bannerman die erste Tullibardine-Destillerie, die jedoch nur ein Jahr lang in Betrieb war. Im Jahr 1814 versuchte es Andrew Bannerman (vermutlich ein Verwandter) erneut. Diesmal war sie bis 1837 in Betrieb. Im 19. Jahrhundert gab es in der Stadt eine M\u00e4lzerei und drei Brauereien (u.a. Gleneagles Brewery), die damals im Besitz der Familie Sharp und der Familie Eadie waren. 1949 kaufte der ber\u00fchmte Destillerie-Designer William Delme-Evans das Gel\u00e4nde der Gleneagles Brewery und baute dort eine neue Destillerie. Es war die erste Destillerie zu diesem Zeitpunkt, die seit 1900 in Schottland neu gebaut wurde. Im Jahr 1953 wurde es von der Mischfirma Brodie Hepburn gekauft, die ihre Kapazit\u00e4t erh\u00f6hte und von dort \u00fcber Invergordon (die Brodie Hepburn kaufte) zu Whyte &amp; Mackay (die wiederum Invergordon kaufte) \u00fcberging. Tullibardine lag von 1994 bis 2003 still, als es von einem Unternehmenskonsortium aufgekauft wurde. Ihre Idee war es, einen Teil des Gel\u00e4ndes als Fachmarktzentrum zu verkaufen und mit dem gesammelten Geld die Destillation wieder in Gang zu bringen. Im Jahr 2011 wurde die Brennerei an die franz\u00f6sische Firma Picard Vins &amp; Spiritueux verkauft. Diese Firma gr\u00fcndete 2013 eine Einheit f\u00fcr die Spirituosen mit dem Namen Terroirs Distillers. J\u00e4hrliche Produktionskapazit\u00e4t: ca. 2,7 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fact: <\/strong>Whisky &amp; Ale&#8230; In Anlehnung an die Tradition hat sich Tullibardine mit der Brauerei Bridge of Allan zusammengetan, um ein Ale herzustellen, das passenderweise 1488 genannt wird. Die Jahreszahl, in der es nur eine Brauerei in Schottland gab, als Jakob IV. nach seiner Kr\u00f6nung in Scone anhielt, um ein Fass Bier zu kaufen.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Tullibardine 2016 \/ Benchmark Serie (Murray McDavid)<\/strong><br \/>\nDer vorliegende Single Malt Whisky kommt von Tullibardine aus Schottland. Genauer gesagt kommt der Whisky aus den Highlands. Allgemein sind viele der Abf\u00fcllungen aus den Highlands w\u00fcrzig, schwer und komplex. Der Whisky wurde mit ordentlichen 46% Vol. in die Flasche gebracht. Daher zeigen sich die Aromen auch in ihrer ganzen St\u00e4rke. Aus dem Bourbonfass kommen s\u00fc\u00dfe Vanillenoten in den Whisky. W\u00e4hrend das Finish in Sherryf\u00e4ssern f\u00fcr dunkle Trockenfruchtnoten und interessante Gew\u00fcrzaromen sorgt. Bei diesem Whisky wurde nicht nachgeholfen. Die nat\u00fcrliche Farbe kam lediglich \u00fcber die Fassreifung zustande. Der Whisky wurde nicht k\u00fchlgefiltert, somit erhalten Sie noch das volle Aroma des Tullibardine. Die Jahrgangsabf\u00fcllung stammt aus dem Jahr 2016. Die Reifezeit betrug daher auch nur 4 Jahre. Daher fehlt ihm etwas die Komplexit\u00e4t \u00e4lterer Abf\u00fcllungen. Dieser Whisky wurde nicht von Tullibardine selbst abgef\u00fcllt, sondern von dem unabh\u00e4ngigen Abf\u00fcller Murray McDavid. Von dieser Abf\u00fcllung gibt es ganze 1338 Flaschen. Und bei Murray McDavid gilt immer&#8230; solange der Vorrat noch reicht.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sidenote zum Abf\u00fcller:<\/strong> Murray McDavid wurde von den Londoner Weinh\u00e4ndlern Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin und Gordon Wright (von der Springbank Distillery) gegr\u00fcndet. Sie erlangten schnell den Ruf, Whisky in interessanten F\u00e4ssern (wie Weinf\u00e4sser) zu reifen. Im Jahr 2000 machte sich das Murray McDavid-Team daran, die geschlossene Bruichladdich Distillery auf Islay wiederzuer\u00f6ffnen, die im Jahr 2012 an den Spirituosenriesen Remy Cointreau verkauft wurde.
