Destille: Springbank
\n<\/strong>Die Springbank Distillery ist eine familiengef\u00fchrte Single Malt Whiskybrennerei auf der Kintyre Peninsula im Westen Schottlands. Sie geh\u00f6rt zur J & A Mitchell and Co.Ltd., zu der auch die bekannte Glengyle-Destillerie und einer der \u00e4ltesten, unabh\u00e4ngigen Abf\u00fcller, William Cadenheads geh\u00f6ren. Springbank wurde 1828 lizenziert und ist einer der letzten \u00fcberlebenden Produzenten von Single Malt Whiskys in Campbeltown – einem Gebiet, in dem einst \u00fcber drei\u00dfig aktive Destillerien angesiedelt waren. Die Brennerei produziert verschiedene \u00ab\u00a0Arten\u00a0\u00bb von Whisky, die sie auf drei verschiedene Labels aufteilen. Springbank, Hazelburn und Longrow. J\u00e4hrliche Produktionsvolumen: ca. 0,75 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n

Fun Fakt: <\/strong>\u00a0Springbank ist die einzige Destillerie in Schottland, die Malz, Destillation, Reifung und Flaschen am selben Standort herstellt… und das mit einer eher \u00ab\u00a0altmodischen\u00a0\u00bb Ausr\u00fcstung wie einer alten \u00ab\u00a0Boby-M\u00fchle\u00a0\u00bb, ein offener, gusseiserner Maischebottich, h\u00f6lzerne Washbacks aus Bootsfelll\u00e4rche und einer Brennblase mit \u00ab\u00a0Wurmwanne\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Whisky\/Whiskey: Campbeltown Loch
\n<\/strong>F\u00fcr den Campbeltown Loch wurden alle f\u00fcnf Malts aus den drei Brennereien der Region Campbeltown verwendet. Der Whisky wurde in der Brennerei Springbank in F\u00e4sser abgef\u00fcllt und besteht ausschlie\u00dflich aus Whisky von jeder der 5 Whiskymarken von Campbeltown: Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Kilkerran und Glen Scotia. Die Kleinstadt Campbeltown war im 19. Jahrhundert die Hochburg in der schottischen Whiskyherstellung. Heute gibt es nur noch drei Brennereien, von denen zwei in der Hand von Springbank sind. Nach der Verm\u00e4hlung in der Springbank Brennerei verbrachte der Campbeltown Loch seine Reifung in nicht n\u00e4her benannten F\u00e4ssern. Abgef\u00fcllt wurde der Campbeltown Loch Blended Malt Scotch Whisky mit 46.0 vol. in der Springbank typischen Flasche.<\/p>\n
