Die Urspr\u00fcnge der Highland Park Destillerie sind, wie so oft, \u00ab\u00a0Wolken aus Halbwahrheit und Whisky-Mythen\u00a0\u00bb. Es ist bis heute nicht ganz klar ob Highland Park vom ber\u00fchmten Priester und Schmuggler Magnus Eunson oder vom Farmer David Robertson gegr\u00fcndet wurde. Fakt ist, dass das reich verzierte, schmiedeeiserne Tor der Brennerei auf eine Geschichte von 1798 hinweist. Fakt ist auch, dass sie 1826 eine erste offizielle Lizenz zum Destillieren von Whisky bekamen. Highland Distillers \u00fcbernahmen 1937 die volle Kontrolle am Unternehmen, sodass Highland Park heute Teil der Edrington Group ist. Der Name der Brennerei bezieht sich nicht auf die schottischen Highlands, sondern auf die Tatsache, dass die Brennerei auf einem Gebiet namens \u00ab\u00a0High Park\u00a0\u00bb gegr\u00fcndet wurde, das sich von einem niedrigeren Gebiet in der N\u00e4he unterscheidet. Aktuelles j\u00e4hrliches Produktionsvolumen: ca. 2,5 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt: <\/strong>Highland Park Distillery ist die zweitn\u00f6rdlichste Single Malt Scotch Whisky Destillerie in Schottland (Kimbland Destillerie auf Sanday liegt 22 Meilen weiter n\u00f6rdlich).<strong><br \/>\nFun fact No.2: <\/strong>Sollte der oben beschriebene Mythos stimmen, dass Magnus Eunson Highland Park gegr\u00fcndet hat, dann ist dieser Eunson tags\u00fcber ein Metzger und Kirchenbeamte gewesen, der sich Nachts zu einem illegalen Destillateur &amp; Whiskyschmuggler \u00ab\u00a0verwandelt\u00a0\u00bb hat. 1798 wurde er beim illegalen Destillieren von Whisky auf dem heutigen Gel\u00e4nde erwischt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Loki (Valhalla Collection) 750ml<br \/>\n<\/strong>Die zweite Ver\u00f6ffentlichung in der Valhalla Collection von Highland Park. Nach dem Start des Thors nun der Loki, der Thors Adoptivbruder sein soll. Eine \u00ab\u00a0schelmische Seele\u00a0\u00bb und m\u00f6glicherweise sogar ein \u00ab\u00a0Gestaltwandler\u00a0\u00bb, mit einem r\u00e4tselhaften Charakter. Soviel zum Thema Mythos Highland Park&#8230; Jetzt zu den Fakten: Dieser Malt Whisky hat eine St\u00e4rke von 48,7% Vol. und ist ein 15 Jahre alter Single Malt in limitierter Auflage (21.000 Flaschen). <strong><em>Der hier angebotene Whisky ist die sehr seltene 750ml Variante (!!!)<\/em><\/strong> und hat den gleichen, einzigartigen &amp; preisgekr\u00f6nten Holzrahmen wie der Thor. Es soll an ein traditionelles Langschiff der Wikinger erinnern. Der Loki weist klassische Spuren von S\u00fc\u00dfe und W\u00fcrze auf, die durch das Malz und die Reifung in zwei verschiedenen Fasssorten (spanische Sherryf\u00e4sser und stark getorfte F\u00e4sser) kommen k\u00f6nnen.
