Destille: Aberfeldy
\n<\/strong>Die schottische Malt Whisky-Brennerei Aberfeldy, gegr\u00fcndet 1896 durch die Familie Dewar, liegt im gleichnamigen Ort am River Tay in der Whisky Region Highlands. Die Geb\u00e4ude der Brennerei Aberfeldy liegen nahe dem gleichnamigen Ort und dem Fluss Tay sowie dem See Loch Tay. Das Wasser f\u00fcr die Produktion stammt aber aus dem Pitilli Burn, einem kleinen Fluss, der direkt an der Brennerei vorbei flie\u00dft. Heute geh\u00f6rt die Brennerei dem global agierenden Spirituosenkonzern Bacardi. J\u00e4hrliche Produktionsmenge ca. 3,4 Millionen Liter Alkohol.<\/p>\n

Fun Fakt:\u00a0 <\/strong>Aberfeldy ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Blended Whiskys Dewar’s, einer der meistverkauften Blended Scotch Whiskys in den Vereinigten Staaten.<\/p>\n

Whisky\/Whiskey: 16yo
\n<\/strong>16 Jahre alter Single Malt aus der fantastischen Destillerie Aberfeldy, die seit 1898 in den Ausl\u00e4ufern der zentralen schottischen Highlands t\u00e4tig ist. Dieser Ausdruck wird in Oloroso Sherry-F\u00e4ssern abgerundet, die dem Whisky dekadente Schichten saftiger S\u00fc\u00dfe, gew\u00fcrzter Obstkuchen und dunkler Schokolade verleihen.
\nKonkret finden sich in der Nase \u00ab\u00a0Rosinen und Zimt, dann Butterscotch, Karamell und getrockneter Apfel. Ein Hauch von blumigem Malz auch\u00a0\u00bb. Der Gaumen offenbart ein Gef\u00fchl von \u00ab\u00a0abrundet und weich, zuerst mehr Apfel, dazu pochierte Birne in dunkler Schokoladensauce, bald gesellen sich Clementinenst\u00fccke und Honig auf Toast\u00a0\u00bb.
