Nachdem sie eine Reihe von Besitzern durchlaufen hatte, wurde sie Teil des Nachlasses des Glasgower Blenders Gilmour Thompson &amp; Co, der die Brennerei 1891 kaufte. Die Glasgower Blenders stellten 1954 den Betrieb ein, sodass Glencadam an den kanadischen Destillateur Hiram Walker verkauft wurde. Durch einen Fusionsprozess wurde es Teil von Allied Distillers und galt als die \u00ab\u00a0Heimat\u00a0\u00bb der Dundee-Mischung Stewart&rsquo;s Cream of the Barley. Im Jahr 2000 wurde das Werk von den Alliierten eingemottet, aber drei Jahre sp\u00e4ter von der in London ans\u00e4ssigen Firma Angus Dundee gekauft. Glencadam war die meiste Zeit seines Bestehens ein \u00ab\u00a0stiller Whisky-Spieler\u00a0\u00bb und entwickelt sich erst langsam zu einem eigenst\u00e4ndigen Single Malt. J\u00e4hrliches Produktionsvolumen: ca. 1,5 Mio. Liter<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:\u00a0<\/strong>Glencadams neuer Markencharakter aus Blumen und Birnentropfen ist ein direktes Ergebnis eines Destillationsprozesses, das den R\u00fcckfluss maximiert, denn die \u00ab\u00a0Lyne-Arme\u00a0\u00bb an den Brennblasen sind nach oben geneigt. Sein reifer Charakter, insbesondere wenn er in amerikanischer Eiche gereift ist, hat eine weiche, buttrige Qualit\u00e4t, die dem Gaumen eine seidige Note verleiht. Einzigartiger Charakter einer \u00fcber 200 Jahre alten Brennerei.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: 15yo Reserva de Jerez Oloroso Cask<br \/>\n<\/strong>Der Glencadam 15 Jahre Reserva de Jerez Oloroso Cask stammt aus der gleichnamigen Brennerei, die auf eine lange Tradition zur\u00fcckblickt. Noch heute werden bei der Produktion die gleichen Abl\u00e4ufe wie 1825 befolgt. Die Abf\u00fcllung ist auf 9.420 Flaschen stark limitiert. Jede Flasche ist einzeln nummeriert. Der Single Malt wurde 2007 destilliert und lagerte zun\u00e4chst in Ex-Bourbonf\u00e4ssern. Im Anschluss erhielt der Glencadam ein Finish in Oloroso Sherryf\u00e4ssern. Der Glencadam 15 Jahre Reserva de Jerez Oloroso Cask wird nicht k\u00fchlgefiltert und nicht gef\u00e4rbt. Abgef\u00fcllt wurde mit 46.0% vol. Seine Aromen zeichnen \u00ab\u00a0kraftvolle Sherrynoten, Rosinen und dunkle Fr\u00fcchte\u00a0\u00bb aus. Im Geschmack ist er \u00ab\u00a0vollmundig und komplex auf der Zunge. Gute Balance zwischen S\u00fc\u00dfe und W\u00fcrze. Startet mit Rosinen und s\u00fc\u00dfen PX Sherrynoten, dann w\u00fcrziger mit Pfeffer, Muskat und Zimt. Um abschlie\u00dfend im Abgang \u00ab\u00a0langanhaltend und intensiv mit Noten von Sherry, Gew\u00fcrzen, dunkler Schokolade und Mokka\u00a0\u00bb zu sein.
