Destille: Talisker
\n<\/strong>Die Talisker Distillery ist eine Single Malt Scotch Whisky Destillerie mit Sitz in Carbost, Schottland auf der Halbinsel Minginish (Isle of Skye). Die Gr\u00fcnder von Talisker, die Br\u00fcder Hugh und Kenneth MacAskill, waren klassische Clearance-Vermieter. Nachdem sie 1825 das Talisker House auf Skye und ausgedehnte L\u00e4ndereien gekauft hatten, machten sie sich daran, die ans\u00e4ssige Bev\u00f6lkerung von ihren Farmen umzusiedeln. Neben dem Einsatz von Schafen war Destillieren, das zweite Standbein der MacAskill. Im Jahr 1830 er\u00f6ffneten sie ihre Talisker-Destillerie in Carbost. Ihr Vorsto\u00df in die Whiskyherstellung war anf\u00e4nglich nicht von Erfolg gekr\u00f6nt, sodass 1848 die Kreditbank die Kontrolle \u00fcbernahm. Nach einer Reihe verschiedenster Besitzer kauften Roderick Kemp und Alexander Allen (Dailuaine) die Brennerei. Kemp verkaufte seinen Anteil 1892, um Macallan zu kaufen, und nach Allens Tod im Jahr 1895 \u00fcbernahm sein Gesch\u00e4ftspartner Thomas Mackenzie die Leitung. Nach einer \u00ab\u00a0Verschmelzung\u00a0\u00bb mit Dailuaine (und Imperial) ging Talisker 1916 an eine Gruppe von gro\u00dfen Blendern, die sp\u00e4ter zu Diageo fusionierten. Aktuell hat Talisker ein Produktionsvolumen von ca. 2,6 Mio. Litern.<\/p>\n

Fun Fakt:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Bekannt aus \u00ab\u00a0Funk & Fernsehen\u00a0\u00bb… In dem Film \u00ab\u00a0Charlie Wilson’s War\u00a0\u00bb \u00fcberreicht der CIA-Agent Gust Avrakotos dem US-Abgeordneten Wilson eine Flasche Talisker. Der Agent erkl\u00e4rt Charlie, dass der Scotch in einem Gedicht von Robert Louis Stevenson erw\u00e4hnt wird. Der Clou? Die Flasche ist verwanzt und erm\u00f6glicht es ihm, den Gespr\u00e4chen des Kongressabgeordneten zuzuh\u00f6ren… Tats\u00e4chlich war Talisker der Lieblingswhisky der Schriftsteller Robert Louis Stevenson und HV Morton. In seinem Gedicht \u00ab\u00a0The Scotsman’s Return From Abroad\u00a0\u00bb erw\u00e4hnte Stevenson: \u00ab\u00a0Der K\u00f6nig trinkt, wie ich es mir vorstelle, Talisker, Islay oder Glenlivet.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Whisky\/Whiskey: Dark Storm 2019
\n<\/strong>Der Dark Storm Whisky ist ein weiterer st\u00fcrmischer Single Malt aus dem Hause Talisker. Dabei darf der Talisker Dark Storm nicht mit dem Talisker Storm verwechselt werden, denn im Unterschied zum Storm reift der Dark Storm in stark ausgekohlten Eichenf\u00e4ssern heran. Diese Herangehensweise verleiht dem feinen Tropfen eine ausgesprochen enorme Intensit\u00e4t und Tiefe. Das macht den Dark Storm zu einer der rauchigsten Abf\u00fcllungen der Talisker Distillery! Nicht ohne Grund schreibt Talisker \u00fcber ihre Whiskys \u201eMade by the Sea\u201c. Auch beim Dark Storm f\u00fcllen die rauchigen und salzigen Aromen die Nase und f\u00fchren gedanklich schon in die Richtung, in die auch der Geschmack des Tropfens gehen wird. Obwohl der Storm schon \u00e4u\u00dferst st\u00fcrmisch wirkt, toppt der Dark Storm dieses Erlebnis noch und erinnert an ein sturmumtostes Meer in dunkelster Nacht. Jim Murray gab diesem Whisk(e)y 92 Punkte! Zudem erhielt er im Jahre 2014 die Auszeichnungen Gold bei der International Wine and Spirit Competition und Gold bei der International Spirits Challenge!<\/p>\n
