Something Special wurde 1912 kreiert und \u00fcberzeugt anspruchsvolle Kenner immer mehr f\u00fcr neue M\u00e4rkte und geh\u00f6rt damit zu den besten Premium-Scotches in Lateinamerika.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sidenote Abf\u00fcller: Hill Thomson &amp; Co. Ltd. (HT&amp;C)<\/strong><br \/>\nUrspr\u00fcnglich ein lizenzierter Lebensmittelh\u00e4ndler mit Sitz in Edinburghs Stadtteil New Town, begann dieses Unternehmen mit dem Mischen und Abf\u00fcllen seiner eigenen Whiskys, darunter die Bestseller Queen Anne und Something Special Blends. Es wurde Teil von Pernod Ricard, als Seagram 2001 seinen Wein- und Spirituosenbetrieb verkaufte.<br \/>\nIm Jahr 1793 er\u00f6ffnete William Hill ein lizenziertes Lebensmittelgesch\u00e4ft in der Rose Street Lane in Edinburghs New Town. 1799 war das Gesch\u00e4ft so erfolgreich, dass er in neue, pr\u00e4chtigere R\u00e4umlichkeiten in der Frederick Street umziehen konnte, wo das Unternehmen \u00fcber 200 Jahre lang blieb.<br \/>\n1815 trat sein \u00e4ltester Sohn, William Jr., in das Unternehmen ein und nach dem Tod seines Vaters im Jahr 1818 trat sein Bruder Robert in das Unternehmen ein. Gemeinsam \u00e4nderten sie den Namen des Unternehmens in William and Robert Hill.<br \/>\nNachdem beide Br\u00fcder gestorben waren, ging das Unternehmen in den Besitz eines dritten Bruders, George, \u00fcber, der das Unternehmen nach ihm umbenannte: George Hill and Co. Im folgenden Jahr, 1838, wurde das Unternehmen von der frisch gekr\u00f6nten K\u00f6nigin Victoria mit dem Royal Warrant ausgezeichnet. Als das Unternehmen expandierte, wurde 1857 ein neuer Partner, William Thompson, ernannt und der Kaufmann \u00e4nderte seinen Namen erneut in Hill, Thompson &amp; Co. Ltd.
