Destille: Benrinnes
\n<\/strong>Am Fu\u00dfe des Berges Ben Rinnes, dessen 841 Meter hoher Gipfel die Speyside \u00fcberragt, liegt die gleichnamige Brennerei. Erbaut wurde sie 1826 durch Peter Mackenzie. Es gibt eine stattliche Anzahl an unabh\u00e4ngigen Abf\u00fcllungen von Benrinnes. Die meisten davon sind ziemlich leicht und floral mit wenigen w\u00fcrzigen und scharfen Ausnahmen. Der Gro\u00dfteil des Whiskys von Benrinnes geht an die Blend-Industrie. Er wird f\u00fcr Johnnie Walker und J&B Blended Whiskys verwendet. Mit der Umstellung des Destillationsprozesses im Jahre 2007 stieg der Aussto\u00df der Brennerei von 1,9 Millionen auf nun etwa 2,5 Millionen Liter pro Jahr.<\/p>\n

Fun fact:<\/strong> Die Brennerei wurde 1826 von Peter Mackenzie erbaut. Drei Jahre nach der Gr\u00fcndung wurde die Destillerie von einer Flut zerst\u00f6rt und einige Jahre sp\u00e4ter von John Innes neu erbaut, der sie in Lyne of Ruthrie umbenannte. Sp\u00e4ter ging die Brennerei bankrott und wurde an William Smith verkauft, der sie wieder in Benrinnes umbenannte. 1896 wurde sie erneut zerst\u00f6rt, diesmal durch ein Feuer. In den 1950er Jahren wurde Benrinnes von John Dewar & Sons wieder aufgebaut und renoviert. Harte 125 Jahre…..!<\/p>\n

\nDer Benrinnes 15yo ist der einzige regul\u00e4re Single Malt der gleichnamigen Destillerie und erscheint im Rahmen der beliebten Flora & Fauna-Serie. Darunter f\u00fcllt der Eigent\u00fcmer Diageo ausgesuchte F\u00e4sser weniger Brennereien, jeweils einzeln als Single Malt ab. Die Flora & Fauna Serie ist eine wahre Bereicherung der Whisky Szene! Er hat eine reiche und fruchtige Note mit einem Hauch von Gew\u00fcrzen und einer angenehmen S\u00fc\u00dfe.<\/p>\n
