Eigent\u00fcmer und Betreiber der Brennerei ist Beam Suntory, eine amerikanische Tochtergesellschaft der Suntory Holdings aus Osaka, Japan. Die Brennerei wurde 1898 von William Teachers Sohn Adam gebaut, um die F\u00fcllungen f\u00fcr ihre Mischung Teacher&rsquo;s Highland Cream zu sichern (von der sie nach wie vor der Hauptbestandteil ist). Die Brennerei verf\u00fcgte bis Mitte der 1970er Jahre \u00fcber eigene M\u00e4lzereien und bis Ende der 1980er Jahre \u00fcber eine eigene K\u00fcferei. Sie wurde mehrfach vergr\u00f6\u00dfert und wuchs \u00fcber die Jahre erstaunlich. Daher ist Ardmore heute eine gro\u00dfe viktorianische Destillerie, deren Gr\u00f6\u00dfe angesichts ihrer sanften und l\u00e4ndlichen Umgebung \u00fcberraschend ist. Stilistisch eine echte Rarit\u00e4t \u2013 denn Ardmore steht f\u00fcr \u00ab\u00a0getorften\u00a0\u00bb Highland Malt Whisky. J\u00e4hrliches Produktionsvolumen: ca. 5,5 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:\u00a0<\/strong>Ardmore befand sich jahrelang im \u00ab\u00a0Stall\u00a0\u00bb von Teacher und lieferte den \u00ab\u00a0Rauch und die Kopfnoten\u00a0\u00bb f\u00fcr die jeweiligen Mischungen. Hauptm\u00e4rkte von Ardmore sind weder Schottland, Europa oder USA&#8230; sondern Indien und Brasilien!<br \/>\nDie Destille wuchs und wuchs und wuchs&#8230; Das urspr\u00fcngliche Paar Destillierapparate wurde 1955 verdoppelt und 1974 sogar vervierfacht. Dennoch befeuerte man die Brennblasen bis 2001 mit Kohle. In Schottland die vorletzte Brennerei, die dies tat bevor sie alle umstellten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Seyton 2011\/2023 Macbeth Series (Elixir Distillers)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Dieser 12-j\u00e4hrige Ardmore aus Ex-Laphroaig F\u00e4ssern geh\u00f6rt zu der Serie The Household aus der Macbeth Collection Act One.<br \/>\nDie Macbeth-Reihe entstand in einer Zusammenarbeit von Scotch Designer Lexi Livingstone Burgess und den Elixir Destillers aus England. Die Illustrationen des K\u00fcnstler Sir Quentin Blake zeigen auf jeder Flasche einen anderen Charakter der Shakespeare-Trag\u00f6die. Insgesamt 42 verschiedene besondere Abf\u00fcllungen soll es in dieser Reihe geben, welche bis 2025 in drei j\u00e4hrlichen Akten ver\u00f6ffentlicht werden. Die Tastingnotes wurden von dem Spirituosenexperten und Autor Dave Broom in Reimform verfasst.
