Destille: Roe & Co. Distillery
\n<\/strong>Die Roe & Co. Distillery ist eine irische Whiskey-Destillerie, die 2019 gegr\u00fcndet wurde und sich im Besitz von Diageo befindet. Sie befindet sich in der Thomas Street in Dublin, Irland, in der N\u00e4he der Guinness’ St. James’ Gate Brauerei. Die Thomas Street Distillery, die von der Familie Roe betrieben wird, war einst die gr\u00f6\u00dfte in Gro\u00dfbritannien und Irland, mit einer Produktion von zwei Millionen Gallonen pro Jahr in der Spitze der Whiskeyindustrie in Irland. Nach der Schlie\u00dfung der Destillerie im Jahr 1926 wurden einige ihrer Geb\u00e4ude gekauft und in die Guinness-Brauerei eingegliedert.
\nIm Januar 2017 k\u00fcndigte Diageo, der Produzent von Guinness an, dass sie 25 Millionen Euro in die Errichtung einer neuen Destillerie (Roe & Co. Distillery) im alten Brauereigeb\u00e4ude in der Thomas Street investieren w\u00fcrden. Im Juni 2019 startete die Produktion in der neuen Destillerie.<\/p>\n

Fun Fakt:<\/strong> Ein Birnenbaum mit gro\u00dfer Bedeutung… Der Turm und der Birnbaum befinden sich direkt gegen\u00fcber der ber\u00fchmten St. James’s Gate Guinness Brewery und erinnern an George Roes fr\u00fchere Bedeutung im Leben der Stadt und dienen nun als Inspirationsquelle f\u00fcr den neuen Whiskey von Roe & Co.<\/p>\n

Whisky\/Whiskey: Blended Whiskey
\n<\/strong>Dieser Whisky ist eine Mischung aus Malz und Getreidewhisky. Alle diese wurden vollst\u00e4ndig in Ex-Bourbon-F\u00e4ssern gereift, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf First-Fill-F\u00e4ssern lag. Er wird zu 45 % ohne K\u00fchlfiltration abgef\u00fcllt und eignet sich gut f\u00fcr Cocktails, bei denen der zus\u00e4tzliche Alkohol dazu beitr\u00e4gt, den Whiskygeschmack zu vermitteln. Das Aroma zeichnet sich aus durch \u00ab\u00a0Cremig, herrlich duftend\u00a0\u00bb. Im Geschmack finden sich \u00ab\u00a0Noten von weichen Gew\u00fcrzen und weichem gesponnenem Zucker zusammen mit warmen Noten von gew\u00fcrzten Birnen und holziger Vanille\u00a0\u00bb. Der Abgang dagegen ist \u00ab\u00a0lang anhaltend und sanft, endet mit einer leichten Cremigkeit\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
