Sie produzierten ausschlie\u00dflich Malt <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Whisky<\/span>, bis 1993 die <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Coffey Still<\/span> f\u00fcr die <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Produktion<\/span> von <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Grain Whisky<\/span> installiert wurde. Die Produktionsmenge wurde nun erh\u00f6ht und Loch Lomond wurde zur einzigen <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Brennerei<\/span>, die Malt und <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Grain Whisky<\/span> unter einem Dach produziert. 1994 \u00fcbernahm die Firma die <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Brennerei<\/span> Glen Scotia in Campeltown. 2014 wurden Loch Lomond, Glen Scotia und die Abf\u00fcllanlage Glen Catrine in Ayrshire an eine private Firma namens Exponent verkauft. Die <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Brennerei<\/span> produziert nun ein breites Spektrum verschiedener <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Whiskys<\/span>, sowohl Single Malts als auch Single Grains und Blends.<br \/>\nJ\u00e4hrliches Produktionsvolumen: \u00fcber 20 Mio. Litern pro Jahr.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:\u00a0<\/strong>Dieser Highland Malt fand Mitte des letzten Jahrhunderts auch Einzug in die \u201eTim und Struppi\u201c- Comics des belgischen Autors Herg\u00e9, die aktuell von den Regisseuren und Produzenten Steven Spielberg und Peter Jackson verfilmt werden. In den Comics trinkt eine der Hauptfiguren, Kapit\u00e4n Haddock, mit gro\u00dfer Vorliebe Loch Lomond Whisky.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Inchmurrin Madeira Wood<br \/>\n<\/strong><span class=\"b\">Erst 2015 wurde der Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish als neuer Whisky der Brennerei vorgestellt. Die Distillery brachte eine Reihe neuer Single Malts auf den Weg und die hatten es in sich. Neben dem 12 und dem 18 Jahre alten Inchmurrin folgte der Single Malt im Madeira Wood Finish, der es geschmacklich wirklich in sich hat. Von Inchmurrin hatte man zuvor eher weniger geh\u00f6rt. Die neuen Abf\u00fcllungen gewannen allerdings 2016 direkt aus dem Stand heraus jeweils eine Gold Medaille bei der San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Bill White, seines Zeichens Master Blender bei Loch Lomond, war f\u00fcr den Blendprozess verantwortlich und nutzte zun\u00e4chst F\u00e4sser aus amerikanischer Wei\u00dfeiche, die Whisky enthalten hatten, bevor sie nach Schottland kamen. Im Anschluss an diese Lagerzeit bekam das Zwischenprodukt ein wunderbares Finish in Ex-Madeira-Weinf\u00e4ssern. Welche eine tiefe Komplexit\u00e4t hinzuf\u00fcgen und den Whisky zu einem fruchtigen Erlebnis machen. Dieser Highland Single Malt Whisky ohne Altersangabe d\u00fcrfte ungef\u00e4hr 10 bis 12 Jahre alt sein. Highland Single Malt Whiskys werden gerne f\u00fcr eine zweite Reifung im Madeira Fass genutzt. Aus der Madeira Weintraube wird in Portugal Lik\u00f6r hergestellt und starker teiloxidierter Wein. Der Madeira Dessertwein schmeckt halbtrocken und hat viel S\u00fc\u00dfe. Reift ein Whisky in diesem Fass, nimmt er die S\u00fc\u00dfe und Milde auf.
