Bei Lochlea ist man auf seinen regionalen Bezug besonders stolz. So wird f\u00fcr den hier gebrannten Single Malt ausschlie\u00dflich Gerste aus eigenem Anbau verwendet. Der Whisky der Lochlea Distillery wird unter dem Motto \u201cdare to be honest\u201d produziert. Dies bedeutet, dass der Single Malt von der Ernte der eigenen Gerste bis zur Abf\u00fcllung in die Flasche nachverfolgbar sein soll. Beim Thema Whisky ging es bei Lochlea Schlag auf Schlag&#8230; Im August 2018 nahm die Lochlea Distillery ihren Betrieb auf, im Jan. 2022 erschien mit dem First Release die erste, stark limitierte Abf\u00fcllung. Im M\u00e4rz 2022 wurde die \u00ab\u00a0Sowing Edition\u00a0\u00bb vorgestellt und seit Ende 2022 gibt es den \u00ab\u00a0Our Barley\u00a0\u00bb. J\u00e4hrliches Produktionsvolumen: ca. 0,2 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:<\/strong> Beim Thema \u00ab\u00a0Master Distiller &amp; Blender\u00a0\u00bb konnte man gleich zu Beginn bei Lochlea einen echten Coup landen. Nachdem Malcolm Rennie noch die ersten Schritte geleitet hat (ist mittlerweile bei keinem geringeren als der wiederer\u00f6ffneten Rosebank Distillery), konnte man einen echten Star der Whisky-Branche als neuen Chef verpflichten&#8230; John Campbell, der bisherige Master Distiller bei Laphroaig!!!! Well done Lochlea&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Cask Strength Batch 1<\/strong><br \/>\nWir pr\u00e4sentieren die allererste Abf\u00fcllung &#8211; in Fassst\u00e4rke &#8211; von der tollen, jungen Brennerei aus den Lowlands, von Lochlea! Die neue Ayrshire-Destillerie hat ihre au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Spirituose in 30% First-Fill-Bourbon-F\u00e4ssern und 70% First-Fill-Oloroso-Sherryf\u00e4ssern gereift, bevor sie mit robusten 60,1 Vol.% abgef\u00fcllt wurde. Frei von K\u00fchlfiltration und in nat\u00fcrlicher Farbe. Limitiert auf 15.000 Flaschen&#8230; Laut Lochlea mit folgenden Verkostungsnotizen: In der Nase&#8230; \u00ab\u00a0Fruchtpunsch, Zigarrennoten, Kaffeebohnen\u00a0\u00bb. Am Gaumen&#8230; \u00ab\u00a0Charakteristische Lochlea-Frucht und Paran\u00fcsse\u00a0\u00bb (was auch immer eine charakteristische Lochlea-Frucht ist ;-)&#8230; und im Abgang&#8230; \u00ab\u00a0Orangensirup und gereifte Eichensp\u00e4ne\u00a0\u00bb.
