Ltd. ist ein 1934 von Masataka Taketsuru gegr\u00fcndeter Hersteller von japanischem Whisky und anderen Getr\u00e4nken mit Hauptsitz in Tokio. 1954 \u00fcbernahm die ASAHI Breweries Co.Ltd. 50 % der Anteile von Nikka und kaufte die restlichen 50 % der Anteile 2001. Das Unternehmen betreibt eine Reihe von Brennereien in Japan, darunter zwei Whisky-Brennereien, die Yoichi-Brennerei in Yoichi, Hokkaid\u014d (gegr\u00fcndet 1934), und die Miyagikyo-Brennerei in Aoba-ku, Sendai, Pr\u00e4fektur Miyagi, Nord-Honsh\u016b (gegr\u00fcndet 1969). Au\u00dferdem besitzt sie die Ben Nevis Distillery (1989 erworben) in Schottland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun fact:\u00a0<\/strong>Der Gr\u00fcnder, Masataka Taketsuru, galt als Begr\u00fcnder der japanischen Whiskyindustrie, denn er hat mit Nikka und Suntory jeweils die erste Brennerei der beiden gr\u00f6\u00dften Destillerien Japans gegr\u00fcndet. Nach seinem Tod wurde das Unternehmen von seinem Adoptivsohn Takeshi Taketsuru geleitet, der es erheblich ausbaute. Unter Takeshis F\u00fchrung sind die Exporte von Nikka auf rund 100.000 Kisten pro Jahr gestiegen, und 2001 wurde der Nikka Yoichi 10-Years-Old Single Cask als erster Nicht-Scotch-Whisky vom Whisky Magazine mit dem Preis \u201eBest of the Best\u201c ausgezeichnet. Takeshi Taketsuru verstarb im Jahre 2015, kurz nach seinem 90ten Geburtstag.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Yoichi Single Malt<\/strong><br \/>\nDer Nikka Yoichi stammt aus der gleichnamigen Brennerei Yoichi auf der Insel Hokkaido. Dieser Single Malt bringt kr\u00e4ftigere Noten sowie etwas Rauch mit sich. Er ist der Lead-Malt der Nikka Blended-Industrie, der den vollen K\u00f6rper und die W\u00fcrze einbringt.
