Destille: Lantenhammer

In den bayerischen Alpen am Schliersee liegt die Destillerie Lantenhammer, bekannt f\u00fcr hochwertige Edelbr\u00e4nde, die seit Generationen im Familienbesitz ist und heute von der Familie Stetter gef\u00fchrt wird.
\nBrau- und Destilliermeister Florian Stetter unternahm in den 90er Jahren eine Studienreise nach Schottland. Fasziniert von der Whiskyherstellung kam er mit der Vision nach Hause selbst Whisky in Bayern zu brennen. Seit 1999 wird nun am Schliersee Bavarian Single Malt Whisky destilliert.<\/p>\n

Fun Fakt:<\/strong> Florian Stetter wettet nach seiner Schottlandreise mit seinen Kollegen um einen Kasten Wei\u00dfbier, dass man auch in Oberbayern erstklassigen Whisky brennen kann \u2013 und er gewinnt! Schon wenig sp\u00e4ter wird in der elterlichen Destillerie Lantenhammer Whisky gebrannt.<\/p>\n

Whisky\/Whiskey: Sild Crannog
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

F\u00fcr den Sylter Single Malt Sild Crannog wurde nur Gerste und Wasser der nordfriesischen Insel verwendet. Der Whisky wurde bei Slyrs destilliert und reifte in kleinen Holzf\u00e4ssern aud dem Kutter \u201eThe Angel’s Share\u201d im Hafen von List auf der Insel Sylt. Er ist weltweit der einzige Whisky, der auf einem Schiff gelagert wird und dort reift. Traditionell wurden Schiffe an Holzpf\u00e4hlen (g\u00e4lisch: CRANNOG) festgemacht. Die Bewegungen der See und das raue Nordseeklima sorgen f\u00fcr einen unverwechselbaren Single Malt. Das ist der weltweit einzige Whisky, der auf einem Schiff gelagert wird. Salzige Seeluft, dazu noch das best\u00e4ndige Schaukeln des Schiffs, das den Inhalt der 100-Liter-F\u00e4sser dauernd in Bewegung h\u00e4lt und mit dem Holz in Verbindung bringt, wirken sich auf den Whisky ebenso aus wie die unterschiedlichen Temperaturverh\u00e4ltnisse in den drei Jahren Reifezeit.<\/p>\n
