Erbaut 1897 in der Gemeinde Botriphnie (Nahe Dufftown) und mit einer Produktionszeit von nur 30 Jahren! In dieser Zeit erwarb sich Towiemore einen guten Ruf als exzellenter Pure Malt Whisky und geh\u00f6rte dem renommierten Whisky-Unternehmer Peter Dawson. Towiemores Wash Stills hatten ein Fassungsverm\u00f6gen von 17.000 Litern, w\u00e4hrend die Spirit Stills 16.000 Liter fassen konnte. Beide waren mittelgro\u00df, mit leicht langen H\u00e4lsen und einem sanft ansteigenden Lyne-Arm. Der Aufstieg des Lyne-Arms verursachte mehr R\u00fcckfluss, was zu einer leichteren Spirituose f\u00fchrte, die mit nussigen Aromen gl\u00e4nzte. Towiemore war ein Opfer von Pech, Missmanagement und schlechten Umst\u00e4nden, so dass die Pr\u00e4senzphase auf dem Whiskymarkt leider viel zu kurz war.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:\u00a0 <\/strong>Towiemore verwendete Wasser aus dem Towie Burn, einer exklusiv f\u00fcr die Destillerie beanspruchten Quelle, die durch eine malerische Waldspalte flie\u00dft, aus den H\u00fcgeln von Towie. In diesem Waldgebiet wurde ein Damm gebaut, um den Wasserfluss zur Destillerie zu kontrollieren. Dieser Damm wurde aber 2005 (vermutlich von Umweltaktivisten) zerst\u00f6rt, um sicherzustellen, dass die Lachse flussaufw\u00e4rts wandern konnten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Towiemore Classic Selection<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Der Ausdruck Towiemore Classic Selection von \u00ab\u00a0The Lost Distillery Company\u00a0\u00bb repr\u00e4sentiert ein Blended Malt, der nach der Erforschung der lange geschlossenen Destillerie kreiert wurde und als Interpretation dessen hergestellt wurde, wie er h\u00e4tte schmecken k\u00f6nnen&#8230; \u00ab\u00a0Saftiger wei\u00dfer Pfirsich und Himbeeren mit einem Hauch von \u00f6liger Walnuss\u00a0\u00bb in der Nase, \u00ab\u00a0karamellisierte Banane und Apfel mit einer Schicht gesalzener Butter\u00a0\u00bb am Gaumen und \u00ab\u00a0Weihnachtsgew\u00fcrze und ger\u00f6stete Mandeln\u00a0\u00bb im Abgang.<br \/>\n<strong>Sidenote zum Abf\u00fcller:<\/strong> Als unabh\u00e4ngiger Mixer besch\u00e4ftigt sich \u00ab\u00a0The Lost Distillery Company\u00a0\u00bb mit der sorgf\u00e4ltigen Erforschung und Wiederherstellung von Whiskys im Stil verlorener Destillerien.
