Der Besitzer Peter Brown war der Manager des Linkwood-Anwesens. Linkwood wurde 1874 von seinem Sohn William komplett umgebaut und existierte dann als unabh\u00e4ngige Destillateurfirma, die von einem in Elgin ans\u00e4ssigen Whisky-Broker gef\u00fchrt wurde, bis es 1932 in den DCL-Stall aufgenommen wurde. Seitdem wurde nicht durchg\u00e4ngig produziert, dennoch regelm\u00e4\u00dfig modernisiert und \u00ab\u00a0finally\u00a0\u00bb im Jahr 1972, als eine neue Destillerie gegen\u00fcber den alten Geb\u00e4uden gebaut. Im Jahr 2012 wurde das alte Geb\u00e4ude im Rahmen einer weiteren Modernisierung abgerissen. Diesmal wurden sechs neue Washbacks in einer neuen Destillerie installiert, zusammen mit zwei neuen Brennblasen. Linkwood geh\u00f6rte heute zum Diageo Konzern. Das Fassungsverm\u00f6gen liegt nun bei \u00fcber 5,5 Mio. Litern pro Jahr.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:\u00a0 <\/strong>Nach einer vor\u00fcbergehenden Schlie\u00dfung zwischen 1941 und 1945 infolge von Gerstenmangel w\u00e4hrend des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde die Brennerei 1945 unter Roderick Mackenzie, der die Brennerei bis 1963 leitete, wiederer\u00f6ffnet. Mackenzie glaubte, dass alle Dinge in der Destillerie zum Endprodukt beitrugen. Im Jahr 1962 entschied Scottish Malt Distillers, dass die Brennerei komplett renoviert werden musste. Mackenzie beaufsichtigte den Wiederaufbau der Destillerie in seinem letzten Jahr als General Manager. Die Brennerei wurde elektrifiziert und ersetzte die Dampfmaschine und das Wasserrad, die die Brennerei zuvor angetrieben hatten, und alle Brennblasen wurden durch exakte Nachbildungen der fr\u00fcheren Brennblasen ersetzt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: 15yo &#8211; Distillery Labels (Gordon &amp; MacPhails)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aus der sehr seltenen Bottle-Series \u00ab\u00a0Distillery Labels\u00a0\u00bb von Gordon &amp; MacPhails kommt dieser tolle Linkwood. Abgef\u00fcllt 2005 und bottled in 2020&#8230; 15 Jahre Reifung haben ihre Spuren hinterlassen! Der Linkwood 15 Jahre ist eine Single Malt Whisky Abf\u00fcllung, die ungef\u00e4rbt und ungefiltert in Trinkst\u00e4rke von 46,0% Vol. daherkommt. Er bietet Noten von Sherry, Sommerbeeren, Zimt und ger\u00f6steter Eiche.<br \/>\n<strong>Sidenote zum Abf\u00fcller:<\/strong> Gordon &amp; MacPhail ist ein unabh\u00e4ngiger Abf\u00fcller und Destillateur von Scotch Whisky, gegr\u00fcndet 1895 mit Sitz in Elgin im Nordosten Schottlands. Es ist ein Familienunternehmen im Besitz der Familie Urquhart.
