Die Springbank Distillery ist eine familiengef\u00fchrte Single Malt Whiskybrennerei auf der Kintyre Peninsula im Westen Schottlands. Sie geh\u00f6rt zur J & A Mitchell and Co.Ltd., zu der auch die bekannte Glengyle-Destillerie und einer der \u00e4ltesten, unabh\u00e4ngigen Abf\u00fcller, William Cadenheads geh\u00f6ren. Springbank wurde 1828 lizenziert und ist einer der letzten \u00fcberlebenden Produzenten von Single Malt Whiskys in Campbeltown – einem Gebiet, in dem einst \u00fcber drei\u00dfig aktive Destillerien angesiedelt waren. Die Brennerei produziert verschiedene \u00ab\u00a0Arten\u00a0\u00bb von Whisky, die sie auf drei verschiedene Labels aufteilen. Springbank, Hazelburn und Longrow. J\u00e4hrliche Produktionsvolumen: ca. 0,75 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n

Fun Fakt: <\/strong>\u00a0Springbank ist die einzige Destillerie in Schottland, die Malz, Destillation, Reifung und Flaschen am selben Standort herstellt… und das mit einer eher \u00ab\u00a0altmodischen\u00a0\u00bb Ausr\u00fcstung wie einer alten \u00ab\u00a0Boby-M\u00fchle\u00a0\u00bb, ein offener, gusseiserner Maischebottich, h\u00f6lzerne Washbacks aus Bootsfelll\u00e4rche und einer Brennblase mit \u00ab\u00a0Wurmwanne\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Zwar keinen \u00ab\u00a0legend\u00e4rer 21-J\u00e4hrigen\u00a0\u00bb oder eine alte Abf\u00fcllung des CV aus den 90ern mit \u00ab\u00a0Green oder Red thistle\u00a0\u00bb. Nein es ist ein \u00ab\u00a0junger\u00a0\u00bb 10-j\u00e4hriger Single Malt, der aber dennoch etwas Besonderes ist. Denn es ist einer der letzten Jahrg\u00e4nge des 10-J\u00e4hrigen, der noch mit Karton ausgeliefert wurde! Seit 2021 verzichtet Springbank auf die Umverpackung. \nDer hier angebotene Springbank 10yo wurde im Oktober 2020 (20\/129) gebottled. Daher mit Karton und jede Menge Einzigartigkeit.<\/p>\n
