Die junge Ardnamurchan Distillery tr\u00e4gt den Namen einer bereits im 19. Jahrhundert existierenden Brennerei. Die 1826 erbaute Ardnamurchan Distillery lag, entgegen der Namensgebung, keineswegs auf der Halbinsel, sondern in Glasgow in den Lowlands. Das Unternehmen Adelphi plante den Bau einer eigenen Brennerei in der N\u00e4he des Hauptsitzes des Unternehmens in Glenborrodale Castle auf der Ardnamurchan Halbinsel. Auf Grund der geographischen und historischen Verbindung zu Ardnamurchan, lag die Wiederbelebung des Namens f\u00fcr Adelphi auf der Hand. Die <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Brennerei<\/span> setzte von Beginn an auf eine nachhaltige Produktion. Da <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Whisky<\/span> ein Naturprodukt ist, sollte sich dies auch in der Verarbeitung widerspiegeln. Es wird beim Betrieb der <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Destillerie<\/span> daher vollst\u00e4ndig auf lokale regenerative Energien gesetzt. Der Fluss Glenmore, der das K\u00fchlwasser der Brennerei liefert, wird auch zur Stromerzeugung per Wasserkraft eingesetzt. Ein Biomasse-Kessel wird durch Hackschnitzel aus der lokalen Forstwirtschaft betrieben. Zus\u00e4tzlich recycelt Ardnamurchan die Nebenprodukte, die bei der Whiskyherstellung entstehen: Die immer noch energiereichen \u00dcberreste der Gerste werden verwendet, um das gesamte Vieh auf der Halbinsel zu f\u00fcttern und das zur\u00fcck bleibende Pot Ale (aus den Pot Stills) wird als D\u00fcnger eingesetzt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun fact 1: <\/strong>Der Bau der Brennerei erwies sich als ein abenteuerliches Projekt. Wer die Achterbahnfahrt zur Brennerei einmal hinter sich gebracht hat, wird sich kaum vorstellen k\u00f6nnen, wie Lastwagen mit schwerem Ger\u00e4t ihren Weg zum Brennereigel\u00e4nde gefunden haben sollen. Am 25.06.2014 bef\u00fcllte Prinzessin Anne schlie\u00dflich pers\u00f6nlich das erste Fass der Brennerei. So wurde ein gutes Jahrhundert nach der Schlie\u00dfung der alten Malt Whisky Brennerei, die Ardnamurchan Distillery an dem Ort wiederbelebt, wo sie ihres Namens nach hingeh\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun fact 2:<\/strong> Ardnamurchan ist die erste schottische Destillerie, die die Blockchain-Technologie einsetzt, um ein unbestechliches Hauptbuch ihrer gesamten Liefer- und Produktionskette zu erstellen. Dieses Hauptbuch ist f\u00fcr den Verbraucher durch Scannen des QR-Codes auf der Flasche zug\u00e4nglich und bietet ein vollst\u00e4ndig transparentes Tagebuch der Reise jedes Whiskys vom Feld bis zur Flasche.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: AD\/ Sherry Cask Release 2023<br \/>\n<\/strong>Der Ardnamurchan Sherry Cask Release wird aus ungetorften und getorften Malz hergestellt. Der rauchige Anteil des Single Malts reift in 10 Oloroso Sherry Butts, das ungetorfte Destillat in 15 Pedro Xim\u00e9nez Sherry Hogsheads. Dadurch erh\u00e4lt die Kreation nach der Verm\u00e4hlung der F\u00e4sser ihre tiefe Farbe und ein angenehm rauchig-nussiges Geschmacksprofil mit maritimen Flair.
