\n<\/strong>Beim Durchst\u00f6bern der Lagerh\u00e4user bei Signatory Vintage offenbarte sich, dass dort noch einige Kisten von dem alten Prestonfield De Luxe Blended Scotch Whisky standen. Hinter dem Pseudonym verbirgt sich feinster Blended Scotch Whisky aus einem amerikanischen Wei\u00dfeichenfass, der sein Potenzial bei sanften 43% entfaltet. Sein Talent, das wirklich Gute vom Mittelma\u00df zu unterscheiden, belegte Symington schon vor Gr\u00fcndung seiner Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Company Ltd. \u2013 w\u00e4hrend seiner T\u00e4tigkeit f\u00fcr das Prestonfield House in Edinburgh, einem Hotel mit starken Banden zur Whiskywelt. An diese Zeit erinnern Retro-Abf\u00fcllungen wie der Prestonfield Deluxe Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. Dessen Etikett ziert die k\u00fcnstlerische Darstellung des Hotels sowie einiger Wahrzeichen Edinburghs (The Palace of Holyroodhouse, Scott Monument, Museum of Edinburgh, Glenkinchie, Forth Road Bridge).
\nSidenote zum Abf\u00fcller:<\/strong> Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky wurde 1988 von Andrew Symington gegr\u00fcndet, der zuvor das renommierte Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh geleitet hatte. Das erste Fass, das von Symington in Flaschen abgef\u00fcllt wurde, war ein 1968 in Sherryf\u00e4ssern gereifter Glenlivet. Im Jahr 2002 erwarb Signatory die Destillerie Edradour von Pernod Ricard und verlegte anschlie\u00dfend alle seine Aktivit\u00e4ten nach Norden in den malerischen Standort Perthshire. Die Whiskys werden in der Regel in verschiedenen “Collections” abgef\u00fcllt… darunter die Un-chill Filtered Collection, die Cask Strength Collection und die Single Grain Collection.<\/p>\n
