Der Blend (man kann ihn auch als Vatted Malt bezeichnen, da nur Malts enthalten sind) wird ohne K\u00fchlfiltration mit pfundigen 40 ppm (Parts per Million) und 46 % abgef\u00fcllt. Der geneigte Lowland- oder Speyside-Gaumen wird am Big Peat \u2013 am gro\u00dfen Torfmonster \u2013 weniger Freude haben. Obwohl der Torfbrocken mit 40 ppm zu den wuchtigeren Vertretern seiner Art geh\u00f6rt, schafft er es durchaus gekonnt, noch s\u00fc\u00dfe und fast schon filigrane Noten an den Gaumen zu tragen. Ja, auch Blenden will gelernt sein&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sidenote zum Abf\u00fcller:<\/strong> Bis 2013 arbeiteten die Br\u00fcder Fred-Douglas und Stewart Laing zusammen und leiteten das familieneigene Abf\u00fcllunternehmen bevor sie beschlossen, das Verm\u00f6gen des Unternehmens aufzuteilen und getrennte Wege zu gehen. Douglas Laings Tochter Cara schloss sich ihrem Vater an und brachte ihre umfangreiche Erfahrung mit schottischem Whisky mit, nachdem sie als Global Brand Manager f\u00fcr Jura Single Malt t\u00e4tig war (mit einem kurzem Intermezzo als Marketingmanagerin f\u00fcr Bowmore und Glen Garioch).<br \/>\nCara ist in der dritten Generation der Familie Laing t\u00e4tig, welches 1948 von ihrem Gro\u00dfvater Fred Douglas Laing gegr\u00fcndet wurde. Er mischte seinen eigenen Whisky etablierte ein Abf\u00fcllprogramm mit vielen schottischen Destillerien. Douglas Laing besitzt bereits eine Destillerie \u2013 Strathearn in Perthshire, die 2019 erworben wurde und bald durch eine weitere Destillerie (eine neue Anlage im Wert von 10,7 Millionen Pfund in Glasgow) erg\u00e4nzt wird.
