Er hat 40 Vol.-% Alkohol und ist einer der meistverkauften kanadischen Whiskys in den USA. Derzeit befindet sich die Marke Crown Royal im Besitz von Diageo. Das Unternehmen hat die Marke im Jahr 2000 gekauft, als das Seagram-Portfolio aufgel\u00f6st wurde. 2006 belief sich der Umsatz auf mehr als 500 Millionen US-Dollar. Infolge eines Arbeitskampfes musste die Produktion des Whiskys im Januar 2007 fast vollst\u00e4ndig unterbrochen werden. 52 der 53 Mitarbeiter der Brennerei stimmten im Zuge des Arbeitskampfes f\u00fcr den Produktionsstopp. Ab 1. Februar sollte die Produktion des Crown Royal niedergelegt werden. Erst in Verhandlungen, die sich dem 23. Januar 2007 anschlossen, konnte ein Produktionsstopp abgewendet werden. In der Nacht vor Ende der Streik-Frist einigten sich die Parteien mit 75 Prozent auf einen neuen Drei-Jahres-Vertrag.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt: <\/strong>Ausgezeichnet\u2026 Die Crown-Royal-Varianten erhielten in der Vergangenheit mehrere Auszeichnungen. International bekam der Whisky mehrfach gute Bewertungen. Im Zeitraum von 2005 bis 2007 erhielt der Crown-Royal-Whisky von den San Francisco World Spirits die String-Goldmedaille. Von einem internationalen Whisky-Magazin erhielt die Variante Special Reserve den Editor Choice Gold Award. Kritiker beurteilten den Whisky mit Bewertungen von 7 bis 8 \u00be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Fine De Luxe Blended Canadian Whiskey &#8211; Miniatur<br \/>\n<\/strong>Miniatursammler aufgepasst!<br \/>\nDer Crown Royal, als \u201eBlend de Luxe\u201c anl\u00e4sslich des Staatsbesuchs des britischen K\u00f6nigs und seiner Ehefrau 1939 kreiert, wird heute ausschlie\u00dflich in der Crown-Royal-Brennerei Gimli produziert. Die Brennerei liegt am Ufer des kanadischen Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba. Urspr\u00fcnglich wurde er auch in Waterloo in Ontario produziert; die Anlage wurde 1992 geschlossen. F\u00fcr die t\u00e4gliche Produktion des Crown Royal werden 10.000 Scheffel Getreide ben\u00f6tigt. In der Brennerei Gimli wird der Crown Royal in 46 Lagerh\u00e4usern aufbewahrt. Die Anlage erstreckt sich \u00fcber 2 ha Land. Gemischt und abgef\u00fcllt wird der kanadische Whisky in Amherstburg in Ontario.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sidenote zum Abf\u00fcller:<\/strong> <strong>Joseph E. Seagram &amp; Sons (SgrA)<\/strong><br \/>\nSeagram (vollst\u00e4ndiger Name Seagram Company Ltd.) war ein gro\u00dfer in Montr\u00e9al (Kanada) ans\u00e4ssiger Mischkonzern. Das Unternehmen war seinerzeit der weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dfte Spirituosenhersteller und expandierte gegen Ende seines Bestehens in die Branchen Musik, Film\/Fernsehen und Unterhaltung. Durch Fusionen und Verk\u00e4ufe verschwand der Name Seagram bzw. der Markenname Seagram\u2019s (vgl. Seagram\u2019s Distillery) weitgehend, die ehemaligen Kernbereiche sind inzwischen Teile der Unternehmen Pernod Ricard, Vivendi und NBC Universal. In Waterloo in der kanadischen Provinz Ontario wurde 1857 eine Brennerei gegr\u00fcndet, an der sich 1869 Joseph E. Seagram als Partner beteiligte. Seagram \u00fcbernahm das Unternehmen 1883 und benannte es in Joseph E.
