Seit 1850 wurde in dem kleinen Dorf in der Uckermark die Brennanlage dazu verwendet, Getreide zu Kornbrand zu destillieren. Die Uckermark galt stets als Kornkammer Brandenburgs \u2013 und sie ist es heute noch. Hundert Jahre lang arbeitete die Destillerie kontinuierlich. Die \u00c4ra der Brennerei endete, als nach Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges die Sowjets die Anlage abbauten und einen leeres Geb\u00e4ude hinterlie\u00dfen, das langsam, aber sicher zerfiel. Zur Jahrtausendwende wurde das Objekt durch die aus der Uckermark stammende Cormelia Bohn erworben und seit 2008 wird in dem alten Pferdestall, der am besten erhalten war, wieder destilliert. Die Jahresproduktion von gerade einmal 20 Hektolitern wird zwecks Qualit\u00e4tsanspruch bewusst \u00fcberschaubar gehalten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:<\/strong> Pharmazie-Ingenieurin Cornelia Bohn entdeckte ihre Liebe zum Whisky schon sehr fr\u00fch, konnte ihre Leidenschaft zu DDR-Zeiten aber kaum ausleben. Nach der \u00d6ffnung der Berliner Mauer 1989 investierte sie ihre 100 D-Mark Begr\u00fc\u00dfungsgeld in Scotch. Sie bereiste sp\u00e4ter Schottland und besuchte dort zahlreiche Whiskydestillerien, um ihren Wunsch, selbst Single Malt herzustellen dann zu verwirklichen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Organic Single Malt<br \/>\n<\/strong>In der Nase pr\u00e4sentiert sich dieser charaktervolle Whisky sauber mit Holznoten vom frischen Fass, Aromen von getrockneten Beeren und Ankl\u00e4ngen an Trester oder Grappa. Im Geschmack zeigt er sich komplex, ausgewogen und leicht s\u00fc\u00df. Seit 2013 wird nur noch Gerstenmalz aus biologischem Anbau verarbeitet. Preussischer Whisky Organic ist somit einer der wenigen Single Malts weltweit, welche in Bio-Qualit\u00e4t und zudem als Einzelfassabf\u00fcllung in Fassst\u00e4rke (ungef\u00e4rbt und nicht k\u00fchl gefiltert) erh\u00e4ltlich sind.
