Die Miltonduff Destillerie wurde 1824 von Andrew Peary und Robert Bain gegr\u00fcndet. Auf dem Gel\u00e4nde wurde bereits zuvor seit der Jahrhundertwende illegal Whisky destilliert. Miltonduff besitzt mittlerweile eine Produktionskapazit\u00e4t von 5,5 Millionen Liter. Fr\u00fcher war sie die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Brennerei der Allied Distillers. Auch nach Pernod Ricards \u00dcbernahme von Allied Domecq besa\u00df die Destillerie immer noch eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften Kapazit\u00e4ten, die nur von Glenlivet \u00fcbertroffen wurde. Das in der Produktion verwendete Wasser wird aus dem Black Burn bezogen. Mosstowie wurde auf zwei Brennblasen produziert, aber seit der Schlie\u00dfung ist die genaue Produktionsmenge nicht mehr nachvollziehbar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:<\/strong> In der Miltonduff Destillerie werden zwei Single Malts produziert: Miltonduff und Mosstowie. Die Brennerei hat bisher noch keine offizielle Abf\u00fcllung von Mosstowie ver\u00f6ffentlicht, da dieser haupts\u00e4chlich als Bestandteil der Hiram Walker Blends diente. Der Mosstowie Single Malt wird als Hauptkomponente in einigen Blends verwendet, die im Besitz von Hiram Walker sind, darunter auch der bekannte Blend &#8220;Ballantine&#8217;s&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: 10yo (Valinch&amp;Mallet)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Dieser Single Malt ist Teil der The Young Masters Edition-Serie. Er wurde 2011 destilliert und 10 Jahre in Bourbon-Hogshead-F\u00e4ssern gereift. Von diesem einzigartigen Fass ( #800524) wurden lediglich 236 Flaschen produziert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sidenote zum Abf\u00fcller: <span lang=\"en-US\">Valinch &amp; Mallet Independent Spirits<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en-US\">Die Firma Valinch &amp; Mallet Independent Spirits wurde von zwei Personen gegr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00fc<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ndet, die eigentlich komplett verschiedene Hintergr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00fc<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nde haben, aber durch ihre Liebe und Leidenschaft zum Whisky aus Schottland zueinander fanden.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Davide Romano agiert als Mitbegr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00fc<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nder und Manager des Betriebs, Fabio Ermoli als der zweite Gr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00fc<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nder und Sales Manager. Obwohl es sich urspr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00fc<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nglich um ein <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Unternehmen aus Italien<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> handelt, befindet sich der Firmensitz nun in Englands Hauptstadt London. Der unabh\u00e4ngige Abf\u00fcller zieht es vor, seine Spirituose, Rum und Whisky, ohne K\u00fchlfiltration auf den Markt zu bringen. Zudem verzichtet man bei V&amp;M Rum und Whisky auf Farbstoffe und andere Zusatzstoffe, und zieht es vor, die Spirituosen in Fassst\u00e4rke zug\u00e4nglich zu machen. Das Motto der Firma ist &#8220;Perfect because of their imperfections&#8221;.
