Sie wurde urspr\u00fcnglich bereits im Jahr 1821 erbaut, musste allerdings im Laufe des 19. Jahrhunderts wieder schlie\u00dfen und heute sind nur noch Ruinen des alten Geb\u00e4udes \u00fcbrig. Im Jahr 2011 wurde mit der Planung der Wolfsburn Whisky Destillerie begonnen und bereits im Jahr 2013 wurde der erste Single Malt Whisky produziert. Es handelt sich bei Wolfburn um einen kleinen Produzenten der nur ca. 115.000 Liter pro Jahr herstellt. Hier geht Qualit\u00e4t eindeutig vor der Masse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:\u00a0<\/strong>Auf dem Logo findet sich ein Wolf, dessen verwandtes Fabelwesen, der sogenannte \u2018Seewolf\u2018, allen, die ihn zu Gesicht bekommen, Gl\u00fcck bringen soll. Im 16. Jahrhundert, als die Zeichnung f\u00fcr das Wolfburn Logo entstand, gab es in der Gegend jede Menge W\u00f6lfe<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: 6yo Sherry Single Cask (Dun Eideann)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Dieses Wolfburn Single Cask mit der Nummer 020\/2016 wurde exklusiv f\u00fcr den unabh\u00e4ngigen Abf\u00fcller &#8220;Dun Eideann&#8221; herausgebracht. Es ist eine Einzelfassabf\u00fcllung mit nur 324 Flaschen. Destilliert im Jahr 2016, reifte dieser 6 Jahre in einem speziellen Sherryfass. Abgef\u00fcllt wird der Wolfburn Dun Eideann 6 Jahre 2016\/2022 Sherry Single Cask in Fassst\u00e4rke mit 57.8% vol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sidenote zum Abf\u00fcller:<\/strong> <strong>Dun Eideann<br \/>\n<\/strong>Dun Eidann ist die \u00dcbersetzung von Edinburgh aus dem g\u00e4lischen. Jedoch verbirgt sich hinter diesem Namen auch ein unabh\u00e4ngiger Abf\u00fcller. Dun Eideann ist ein Zweitlabel der Firma Signatory.
