Koval ist sowohl biologisch als auch koscher zertifiziert und stellt Whiskeys, Brandys und Lik\u00f6re in seiner Destillerie im Stadtteil Andersonville in Chicagos Northside her. Im Jiddischen bezieht sich der Name Koval auf ein schwarzes Schaf oder jemanden, der voranschreitet oder etwas Neues oder Ungew\u00f6hnliches tut. Sonats Urgro\u00dfvater verdiente sich &#8220;Koval&#8221; als Spitznamen in den fr\u00fchen 1900er Jahren, als er im reifen Alter von 17 Jahren von Wien nach Chicago auswanderte, um ein Unternehmen zu gr\u00fcnden. Die Marke wurde zu seinen Ehren so benannt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt: <\/strong>Man kann nicht nur Whisky&#8230; Koval stellt eine Vielzahl von Whiskys, Wodkas, Br\u00e4nden und Lik\u00f6ren her. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Koval Bierbrand, eine Spirituose, die urspr\u00fcnglich in Zusammenarbeit mit Metropolitan Brewing und sp\u00e4ter mit der Goose Island Brewery aus Lagerbier destilliert wurde.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Single Barrel &#8211; Bottled In Bond (for Kirsch exclusive)<br \/>\n<\/strong>2008 h\u00e4ngten Robert und Sonat Birnecker ihre akademischen Karrieren an den Nagel, tauschten B\u00fccher gegen Brennblase und gr\u00fcndeten in Chicago die heute gr\u00f6\u00dfte unabh\u00e4ngige Craft Distillery der USA. Aus nachhaltig angebautem, haupts\u00e4chlich ungem\u00e4lztem Bio-Getreide (oft unkonventionelle Sorten) der Region brennt Koval innovative Whiskeys, die in kleinen Eichenf\u00e4ssern reifen. Jetzt stehen drei Bio-Single-Barrels exklusiv f\u00fcr die Kunden von Kirsch Import bereit.<br \/>\nDer Single Barrel Rye Whiskey wird aus ungem\u00e4lztem Bio-Roggen gebrannt. Mit Noten von s\u00fc\u00dfem Zimt und Ingwerbei 50% vol. ist er ideal f\u00fcr alle, die viel W\u00fcrze m\u00f6gen. \u201eBottled in Bond\u201c, entstand er strikt nach einem festen Regelwerk, \u00e4hnlich wie ein Single Malt Scotch.
