Sie ist die erste (legale) Destillerie auf der Insel Harris in den \u00c4u\u00dferen Hebriden und produziert neben dem Harris Gin auch den Whisky The Hearach. Der Isle of Harris Whisky &#8216;The Hearach&#8217; (g\u00e4lisch f\u00fcr einen Einheimischen auf Harris) wird komplett auf der Insel destilliert, gereift und abgef\u00fcllt. Das Wasser, das die Brennerei daf\u00fcr verwendet, stammt aus dem Bach Abhainn Cnoc a &#8216;Charrain, der \u00fcber den \u00e4ltesten Felsen der Erde verl\u00e4uft. Mit den im Osten angrenzenden Highlands und dem wilden, offenen Atlantik im Westen ist die Isle of Harris Destillerie eine der abgelegensten Brennereien Schottlands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt 1:<\/strong> Die im Jahr 2015 er\u00f6ffnete Isle of Harris Brennerei war die Idee von Anderson &#8216;Burr&#8217; Bakewell, der mit der Insel seit \u00fcber 50 Jahren verbunden ist und der darauf bedacht war, etwas gegen die schwache lokale Wirtschaftslage und den damit verbundenen Bev\u00f6lkerungsschwund zu unternehmen. Ganz im Sinne der &#8216;Sozialen Destillerie&#8217; besteht das Team der Brennerei nur aus ortsans\u00e4ssigen Bewohnern, jeder der f\u00fcnf eingestellten Distiller ist komplett neu in der Whiskyindustrie und extra angelernt, um den Harris Whisky herzustellen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt 2:<\/strong> Die \u00dcberreste der Gerste bekommen Kleinbauern der Insel f\u00fcr ihr Vieh. Und die Gemeinschaft &#8216;Nosing Panel&#8217; trifft sich regelm\u00e4\u00dfig, um die Qualit\u00e4t ihrer Br\u00e4nde zu kontrollieren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: The Hearach Single Malt Batch 9<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Hearach ist der erste Single Malt der Isle of Harris Brennerei. Bei der Produktion wird hoher Wert auf Handwerk gelegt, welches von einem jungen Team einheimischer Destillateure, vom ersten Nosing bis zum manuellen bedienen von Dampfventilen, sorgf\u00e4ltig verrichtet wird. Das weiche Wasser, das f\u00fcr &#8216;The Hearach&#8217; verwendet wird, stammt aus dem Regenwasser-Bach Abhainn Cnoc a &#8216;Charrain, der \u00fcber einen der \u00e4ltesten Felsen der Erde verl\u00e4uft und einen niedrigen Mineraliengehalt aufweist. Das ozeanische Klima auf der Insel wird durch die Str\u00f6mungen des Golfstroms beg\u00fcnstigt. Nachdem das First Release Batch 1-8 umfasste, wurde nun das Batch 9 nach dem First Release aufgelegt.
