Doch die Brennerei entwickelte sich besser als gedacht: Heute arbeiten dort \u00fcber 100 Leute, die gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils aus Cork stammen. J\u00e4hrliches Produktionsvolumen: ca. 1 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:\u00a0<\/strong>West <span class=\"tx-datamintslossaryextension-no-replacement\">Cork<\/span> Distillers wurde 2003 von drei Jugendfreunden, John O\u2019Connell und den Cousins Ger McCarthy and Denis McCarthy gegr\u00fcndet. Sie kauften zwei kleine Brennblasen von einem Schweizer Spirituosenhersteller und begannen in einem Hinterzimmer in Denis&#8217; Haus mit der Whiskeyherstellung. Erst im Jahr 2014 zogen sie in ihre neue Destille in Skibbereen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Maritime Release Bodegas Baron Sherry Cask<br \/>\n<\/strong>Die Maritime Release Serie aus der irischen Brennerei West Cork ist eine Sonderedition, die vier Abf\u00fcllungen umfasst. Die mundgeblasenen 0,7 Liter Flaschen erinnern an Schwimmkugeln, die fr\u00fcher als Auftrieb f\u00fcr Fischernetze genutzt wurden.
