Bei Lochlea ist man auf seinen regionalen Bezug besonders stolz. So wird f\u00fcr den hier gebrannten Single Malt ausschlie\u00dflich Gerste aus eigenem Anbau verwendet. Der Whisky der Lochlea Distillery wird unter dem Motto \u201cdare to be honest\u201d produziert. Dies bedeutet, dass der Single Malt von der Ernte der eigenen Gerste bis zur Abf\u00fcllung in die Flasche nachverfolgbar sein soll. Beim Thema Whisky ging es bei Lochlea Schlag auf Schlag&#8230; Im August 2018 nahm die Lochlea Distillery ihren Betrieb auf, im Jan. 2022 erschien mit dem First Release die erste, stark limitierte Abf\u00fcllung. Im M\u00e4rz 2022 wurde die &#8220;Sowing Edition&#8221; vorgestellt und seit Ende 2022 gibt es den &#8220;Our Barley&#8221;. J\u00e4hrliches Produktionsvolumen: ca. 0,2 Mio. Liter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fakt:<\/strong> Beim Thema &#8220;Master Distiller &amp; Blender&#8221; konnte man gleich zu Beginn bei Lochlea einen echten Coup landen. Nachdem Malcolm Rennie noch die ersten Schritte geleitet hat (ist mittlerweile bei keinem geringeren als der wiederer\u00f6ffneten Rosebank Distillery), konnte man einen echten Star der Whisky-Branche als neuen Chef verpflichten&#8230; John Campbell, der bisherige Master Distiller bei Laphroaig!!!! Well done Lochlea&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Harvest Edition First Crop<\/strong><br \/>\nDer Lochlea Harvest Edition First Crop ist der zweite Whisky der limitierten Sonderabf\u00fcllungsserie der Farm-Brennerei aus Ayrshire. Der Lowlander ist in Port Hogsheads, in Oloroso Sherry Butts und in First Fill Bourbon Barrels gereift. Als Teil der Seasonal Releases von Lochlea l\u00e4utet er den Fr\u00fchling ein. Diese zweite Edition der saisonalen Abf\u00fcllungen (Seasonal Releases) wird gefolgt von Fallow und Plowing. Die erste in der Reihe ist die Sowing Edition. Jede von ihnen zeigt Lochlea Single Malt in einem anderen Licht und spiegelt wider, was auf dem Hof im Wechsel der Jahreszeiten geschieht. Die Lochlea Harvest Edition (First Crop) ist von der Erntezeit inspiriert. Sp\u00e4tsommerliche Sonnenunterg\u00e4nge und den nach der Ernte tiefroten Boden von Ayrshire f\u00e4ngt das Etikett ein. Es wurden 9000 Flaschen abgef\u00fcllt!<\/p>\n<div><strong>Nosing:<\/strong> Der Nase gibt sich der Lochlea Whisky mit Noten aus Birnen und Bananen hin. Dahinter sorgen Noten aus Apfel-Kompott f\u00fcr Fruchtigkeit. Haferkekse runden das Aroma ab.<\/div>\n<div><strong>Tasting:<\/strong> Der Lochlea Harvest Edition First Crop legt sich mit Erdbeeren auf die Zunge. Er schmeckt zudem nach Veilchen und nach ger\u00f6steten Marshmallows.<\/div>\n<div><strong>Finish:<\/strong> Der Abgang ist fruchtig. Der Scotch hinterl\u00e4sst s\u00fc\u00dfe Noten und ist im Abgang angenehm warm.
