Erbaut wurde sie 1826 durch Peter Mackenzie. Es gibt eine stattliche Anzahl an unabh\u00e4ngigen Abf\u00fcllungen von Benrinnes. Die meisten davon sind ziemlich leicht und floral mit wenigen w\u00fcrzigen und scharfen Ausnahmen. Der Gro\u00dfteil des Whiskys von Benrinnes geht an die Blend-Industrie. Er wird f\u00fcr Johnnie Walker und J&amp;B Blended Whiskys verwendet. Mit der Umstellung des Destillationsprozesses im Jahre 2007 stieg der Aussto\u00df der Brennerei von 1,9 Millionen auf nun etwa 2,5 Millionen Liter pro Jahr.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun fact:<\/strong> Die Brennerei wurde 1826 von Peter Mackenzie erbaut. Drei Jahre nach der Gr\u00fcndung wurde die Destillerie von einer Flut zerst\u00f6rt und einige Jahre sp\u00e4ter von John Innes neu erbaut, der sie in Lyne of Ruthrie umbenannte. Sp\u00e4ter ging die Brennerei bankrott und wurde an William Smith verkauft, der sie wieder in Benrinnes umbenannte. 1896 wurde sie erneut zerst\u00f6rt, diesmal durch ein Feuer. In den 1950er Jahren wurde Benrinnes von John Dewar &amp; Sons wieder aufgebaut und renoviert. Harte 125 Jahre&#8230;..!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: 9yo Small Batch Winter 2023 Release (James Eadie)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Dieser Single Malt ist an die viktorianische Zeit angelehnt, in der Pubs (Kurzform f\u00fcr Public House) ihre erste Bl\u00fctezeit hatten. James Eadie war ein Gesch\u00e4ftsmann, Bauer und Besitzer von mehr als 200 Pubs. Der Ur-Urenkel des Entrepreneurs kreierte die Marke James Eadie und tritt als unabh\u00e4ngiger Abf\u00fcller auf. Er kerierte mit seinen Small Batch Whiskys aus allen Regionen Schottlands Cask Finishes und Single Cask Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen in sehr begrenzten Mengen und abwechslungsreichem Designs. Dieser 9-j\u00e4hrige Benrinnes Whisky reifte in First Fill Bourbon Hogsheads und Refill Hogsheads, ehe er weder k\u00fchlfiltriert noch gef\u00e4rbt abgef\u00fcllt wurde. Das am 9. Dezember 1888 von James Eadie erworbene Lokal The Maid of the Mill Inn steht Pate f\u00fcr diesen intensiven und schweren Single Malt Whisky.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Side Note zum Abf\u00fcller: James Eadie<\/strong><br \/>\nJames Eadie (1827-1904) war ein schottischer Brauer, der 1854 seine Brauerei gr\u00fcndete. Er wurde in der N\u00e4he von Gleneagles in Schottland geboren, war eines von vierzehn Kindern und verlie\u00df die Schule im Alter von vierzehn Jahren, um f\u00fcr seinen Lebensunterhalt zu arbeiten.<br \/>\nDieser \u201eSelf-made-men\u201c war ein ruhiger Mensch, dessen harte Arbeit und unbezwingbare Beharrlichkeit ihm und seiner Familie einen guten Lebensunterhalt einbrachten. Abgesehen von Bier hatte die Familie Eadie ein eigenes Rezept f\u00fcr einen Blended Scotch Whisky von dem es bis heute noch einige wenige Flaschen geben soll. Das Unternehmen wird heute von seinem Nachfahren Rupert Patrick gef\u00fchrt.
