Die Destillerie liegt im sch\u00f6nen \u00d6rtchen Wald im Allg\u00e4u. Das Motto des Waldbrnad-Teams – “Unserer Passion geh\u00f6rt ganz dem Genuss!” Die Lagerung des Single Malt erfolgt in ausgew\u00e4hlten Eichenf\u00e4ssern mit eigener Vorgeschichte – mal reifte Brandy darin, mal Madeira oder auch Portwein. Das Ergebnis ist ein einzigartiger Genuss. Der unverwechselbare Geschmack spiegelt die von den Elementen geschaffene Landschaft des Allg\u00e4u wider: Urspr\u00fcnglich, tief und faszinierend. Sehr zu empfehlen ist eine Tour (Waldbrand Tour “New Make”) durch die sch\u00f6ne Destillerie und Lagerh\u00e4user.<\/p>\n

Fun Fact: <\/strong>Im Jahre 2020 zur Corona-Krise produzierte die Waldbrand Destillerie ca. rund 740 Liter Desinfektionsmittel und verteilte dies mit verschiedenen Helfern an Praxen, Heime und Pflegedienste in und um Marktoberdorf. Um die damalige Versorgungsl\u00fccke zu schlie\u00dfen, stellte der Destillateur und Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der Waldbrand GmbH, Martin Mair, kurzerhand die laufende Produktion von hochwertigen Alkoholika auf Handdesinfektionsmittel um. Vorher wurde dies mit dem Zoll abgestimmt und das Rezept nach Anleitung der Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO bestimmt. Das Team Waldbrand hat dies alles in nur 14 Tagen hinbekommen und umgesetzt.<\/p>\n

Whisky\/Whiskey: Single Malt 24 Monate Port Cask<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alles beginnt mit einer Maische aus bestem Gerstenmalz und einer Komposition aus f\u00fcnf ausgesuchten Spezialmalzen. In offenen, eichenen G\u00e4rbottichen wird sie vergoren und in der Brennblase destilliert. Gelagert wird der Single Malt mit einer Fassst\u00e4rke von 63 Prozent wieder in Eichenf\u00e4ssern, von denen jedes seine eigene Vorgeschichte hat. Am Ende wird der Single Malt in Steinzeugflaschen abgef\u00fcllt – denn das einzigartige Aroma soll ja in der Flasche bleiben. Waldbrand beschreibt ihn wie folgt: Farbe: Bernstein, klar, frei von Tr\u00fcbungen, Geruch: Vanille gepaart mit Honig, ein weiches Zusammenspiel von nussiger Malzigkeit und Tanninen, Nuancen von D\u00f6rrobst, im Anklang w\u00fcrzig, leicht krautige Aromen, grasig, voll volumin\u00f6s, Geschmack: Weiche Malzt\u00f6ne gepaart mit Fassaromen, im Ansatz fruchtig und leicht w\u00fcrzig, leichte Honignoten, Druck am Gaumen, D\u00f6rrobst, Malzs\u00fc\u00dfe nachhaltig, etwas kr\u00e4uterig und herb, <\/strong>Abgang: Sehr lang und dicht, mild und weich \u2013 sehr schmeichelnd! Bei der angebotenen Flasche handelt es sich um Bottle-No. 1909102-1 aus Port Cask Fass No. 87.<\/p>\n
