Gegr\u00fcndet von Urgro\u00dfvater Andreas Betz befindet sich die Destillerie mittlerweile in der 4. Generation bei Uli Betz. Beheimatet in Waldstetten, einem kleinen malerischen Ort in der N\u00e4he von Schw\u00e4bisch Gm\u00fcnd, am Fu\u00df der Schw\u00e4bischen Alb. Besonders wichtig ist den Baden W\u00fcrttembergern ebenfalls eine schonende Weiterverarbeitung, wo sie besonders sorgf\u00e4ltig bei der Produktion der Maische sind. Beim Maischvorgang ist die st\u00e4ndige \u00dcberwachung des G\u00e4rprozesses entscheidend. Die anschlie\u00dfende Destillation ist das Herzst\u00fcck ihrer Arbeit: hier entsteht der tolle Betz Single Malt Whisky in einzigartiger Bio-Qualit\u00e4t. Zus\u00e4tzlich zum Whisky produziert Betz ebenfalls ein exklusives Sortiment aus Gin, Wodka und hauseigenen Edelbr\u00e4nden und Lik\u00f6ren aus dem Holzfass.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fact: <\/strong>Seit 2019 produziert Betz den ersten Demeter-zertifizierten Whisky Deutschlands und darauf sind sie m\u00e4chtig stolz &#8211; zu recht. Als erste Demeter-zertifizierte Destillerie Deutschlands brennt Betz Destillate in einmaliger Bio-Qualit\u00e4t. Die Verwendung von regionalen und nachhaltig angebauten Rohstoffen spielt dabei eine besonders wichtige Rolle. Darum arbeiten sie ausschlie\u00dflich mit streng kontrolliertem Getreide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Single Malt &#8220;PX Single Cask&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No.2 von 4 tollen Whiskys, die Uli Betz ins Rennen schickt&#8230; Single Malt &#8220;PX Single Cask&#8221;. Dieser goldbraune Single Malt Whisky 46 % vol. lag 3 Jahre und 7 Monate in einem Pedro Xim\u00e9nez Sherry Fass. Cask No.C52 und limitiert auf 400 Flaschen mit Bottle No. 190. &#8220;Waldhonig&#8221; beschreibt die Whisky Farbe am besten und im Geruch gesellt sich &#8220;leichte Mandelbl\u00fcte mit feiner Schokolade sowie Noten von Rotwein und Zitrusfr\u00fcchten&#8221; dazu. Der Geschmack dagegen kann am besten mit &#8220;leichte S\u00fc\u00dfe, dunkle Schokolade, Kirschpraline und Trockenfr\u00fcchte, pr\u00e4sente Sherry Noten&#8221; beschrieben werden. &#8220;Angenehm, leicht pfeffrig, lang anhaltend und trocken. Kirschpraline verweilt kurz, der Kakao daf\u00fcr umso l\u00e4nger&#8221; wird dann final der Abgang von den Betz Jungs beschrieben.
