Die gro\u00dfe Erfahrung des Hauses in der Herstellung von Braumalz und das weiche Wasser aus den sieben Quellen, die die Rothaus Brauerei versorgen, boten optimale Voraussetzungen, als sich Braumeister Max Sachs vornahm, einen badischen Whisky herzustellen. In Kooperation mit der Rothaus Brauerei bringt Kammer-Kirsch den bekannten Rothaus Single Malt Whisky heraus. Kennzeichnend f\u00fcr Erzeugnisse aus der Destillerie Kammer-Kirsch ist das Zweifach-Destillat. Refill-F\u00e4sser aus amerikanischer Eiche und von den Schottischen Highlands verleihen dem Single Malt aus dem Schwarzwald sein weiches, Bourbon-\u00e4hnliches Finish. Seit 2006 wird jedes Jahr ein neuer Whisky gebraut und destilliert, jede Flasche tr\u00e4gt auf der R\u00fcckseite ein Etikett mit dem Jahr der Abf\u00fcllung und dem Jahr der Destillation. In den temperaturbest\u00e4ndigen ehemals zu einer Brauerei geh\u00f6renden Kellern reifte er in Ex-Bourbon-Whisky F\u00e4ssern aus wei\u00dfer Eiche bis zu seiner Vollendung. Auf seine Alkoholst\u00e4rke wurde er mit Brauwasser aus Rothaus eingestellt und somit zum ersten &#8216;Schwarzw\u00e4lder Whisky&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fact 1:<\/strong> Seit Jahrhunderten wird hier Bier gebraut, und der Betrieb wurde durch die Abschaffung der Monarchie zum Staatsbetrieb &#8211; des Landes Baden. Mit Kammer Kirsch aus Karlsruhe, hervorgegangen aus dem ebenfalls ehemals Gro\u00dfherzogt\u00fcmlich Badischen Staatsbetrieb mit der ehrenvollen Aufgabe, ein hervorragendes Kirschwasser zu destillieren, fand Rothaus den richtigen Partner f\u00fcr den hochprozentigen Teil der Produktion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Fact 2:<\/strong> Der Gr\u00fcndervater der Brauerei Rothaus, F\u00fcrstabt Martin Gerbert II. vom Benediktinerkloster St. Blasien, gilt heute nicht nur als ber\u00fchmter Wissenschaftler, sondern auch als weitschauender Politiker, der sich besonders um die wirtschaftliche F\u00f6rderung der ihm anvertrauten Herrschaftsgebiete k\u00fcmmerte. Er hat im modernen Verst\u00e4ndnis gute Strukturpolitik betrieben und au\u00dfer der Brauerei Rothaus auch die Sparkasse Bonndorf, die zweit\u00e4lteste Sparkasse Deutschlands, gegr\u00fcndet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whisky\/Whiskey: Black Forest Rothaus Single Malt Whisky Edition 2020<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Das Besondere am recht hochprozentigen Black Forest Rothaus Edition 2020 Chardonnay Cask Finish Whisky ist, dass er zun\u00e4chst einmal einige Jahre lang regul\u00e4r in Eichenf\u00e4ssern gelagert wurde. Anschlie\u00dfend f\u00fcllte man den Single Cask Whisky aus dem Schwarzwald in Holzf\u00e4sser, in denen zuvor Wei\u00dfwein aus der Rebsorte Chardonnay abgef\u00fcllt war. Dabei profitierte der Whisky auch von besonderem Malz und von dem weichen und reinen Rothaus-Brauwasser f\u00fcr die Maische. Unter Leitung von \u201aMaster of the Quaich\u2018 Gerald Erdrich von der Destillerie Kammer-Kirsch wurde dieser Whisky im Fr\u00fchjahr 2016 in kleinen Kupferbrennblasen zweifach destilliert, um ein volles Aroma entstehen zu lassen. Anschlie\u00dfend reifte er zuerst f\u00fcr ein Jahr in Ex-Bourbon-Whisky-F\u00e4ssern und wurde im Fr\u00fchjahr 2017 in frisch entleerte, speziell ausgesuchte Chardonnay-F\u00e4sser des ber\u00fchmten badischen Weinguts Franz Keller aus Oberbergen umgelagert, um zu seiner Vollendung zu reifen.
