Destille: Aurora Spirit Distillery
\n<\/strong>2016 feierte die n\u00f6rdlichste Destillerie der Welt ihre Er\u00f6ffnung und brachte kurz darauf ihre ersten Kreationen auf den Markt. Unter dem Licht der Aurora Borealis entstanden so einzigartige Gins, herausragende Aquavite und besonderer Vodka. Auch \u00e4u\u00dferst limitierte Whiskys lassen sich im Sortiment der Distillery finden, die ihre Kreationen nach dem Bivrost \u2013 der Verbindungsbr\u00fccke zwischen den Welten der G\u00f6tter und der Erde \u2013 benannt haben.
\nDie Anf\u00e4nge der Aurora Spirit Distillery – Drei Personen und ein Gespr\u00e4ch… Viel mehr brauchte es nicht, um den ersten Funken einer Idee zu entfachen. Inmitten des arktischen Lyngen sprachen Anne-Lise, ihr Mann Tor und Hans \u00fcber lokales Essen und Getr\u00e4nke. Dabei entdeckten sie schnell, dass sie keine bekannten arktischen Alkoholika nennen konnten. Nach diesem Gespr\u00e4ch blieb der Gedanke an einen arktischen Whisky in den K\u00f6pfen der drei h\u00e4ngen, bis Hans N\u00e4gel mit K\u00f6pfen machte und seinen Job niederlegte. Feuer und Flamme f\u00fcr das Projekt holte sich das Dreigestirn Inspiration von den schottischen Brennereien, wurde von der Organisation \u201eInnovation Norway\u201c gesponsert und konnte so im Fr\u00fchling 2015 mit der Planung der Destillerie beginnen. Im Sommer 2016 \u00f6ffnete die Destillerie ihre Pforten und hei\u00dft seither Besucher aus der ganzen Welt willkommen.<\/p>\n

Fun fact No.1:<\/strong> Weiter nach Norden geht nicht… Es ist die (aktuell) n\u00f6rdlichste Whiskydestillerie der Welt. N\u00f6rdlicher als die Arktis geht ja auch (fast) nicht mehr!
\nFun fact No.2:<\/strong> Sicher ist sicher… Als Lager nutzen sie alte NATO-Bunkern, wenige Meter vom arktischen Meer entfernt. Eine optimale Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit gew\u00e4hrleistet hier einen gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigen Verlust an Fl\u00fcssigkeit und Alkohol und tr\u00e4gt somit zur Einzigartigkeit der Spirituosen von BIVROST bei.<\/p>\n

Whisky\/Whiskey: Bivrost Vanaheim<\/strong>
\nDie Whiskys der Aurora Spirit Distillery sind ein \u00e4u\u00dferst beliebtes Kleinod. Unter dem Namen Bivrost erscheinen die arktischen Tropfen, die kaum zu ergattern sind. Der Grund hierf\u00fcr liegt an der Philosophie der Destillerie, dass man Whisky nicht hetzen sollte, denn Qualit\u00e4t braucht schlie\u00dflich ihre Zeit. So erblicken meist nur zwei limitierte Abf\u00fcllungen pro Jahr das Licht der Welt und k\u00f6nnen ihre Fans erfreuen. Hergestellt werden die beliebten Tropfen aus Gletscherschmelzwasser und nordischer Gerste, ehe man sie in unterschiedliche F\u00e4sser bettet.
\nDies ist die siebte Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Aurora Spirit in ihrer Serie “Nine Worlds of Norse Mythology”.
\nDer Bivrost Vanaheim Single Malt Whisky wird er aus nordischen Gerstensorten und mit Wasser aus Elvejordvannet hergestellt, das aus geschmolzenem Gletscherwasser der Lyngen Alpen besteht. Der Vanaheim lagerte in 200 Liter Ex-Bourbonf\u00e4ssern und erhielt sein Finish in Teakf\u00e4ssern mit einem Fassungsverm\u00f6gen von 240 Litern. Dadurch erhielt er s\u00fc\u00dfe und w\u00fcrzige Aromen. Ein Arctic Single Malt wie ihn auch die Wikinger getrunken h\u00e4tten!<\/p>\n
